A true natural setting, the Château de la Groirie park extends over more than 100 hectares, offering an exceptional setting shaped by Romanticism.

This English-style park, with its free and poetic lines, invites contemplation and strolling, on foot, by bike, or on horseback, thanks to its bridleways winding between meadows and undergrowth.

Remarkable trees, the century-old linden tree and the majestic tulip tree, embody the soul of this vibrant estate. Reflecting an era celebrating the harmony between man and nature, the park is one of the jewels of the Château de la Groirie.

As you stroll through this exceptional space, you may have the opportunity to meet Frédéric Adet, a passionate gardener who has been tending the park for over 15 years.

A refreshing bath The swimming pool

From the warmer months of May until September (weather permitting), enjoy a relaxing moment in the pool area. The pool is open for swimming and relaxing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m..

A captivating space The rose garden

In the heart of the park, the rose garden is freely accessible. Created by Jean-Pierre Vibert, an iconic figure of the "rose" in France, it reveals, between June and July, a spectacular bloom, blending old varieties and captivating scents.

Each path invites you to dream, in a living tableau of elegance and softness. A fragrant, timeless interlude that poetically extends the refined spirit of the Château de la Groirie and its marvelous park.

The rose garden boasts no fewer than 400 varieties of roses, some of which were created for the Château de la Groirie.

  • The Chapel: Listed as a Historic Monument, the hexagonal chapel enhances the courtyard of the large outbuildings.
  • The Large Pond: Stocked with carp, pike, and many other fish, the pond is a refreshing break. Bring your fishing rod.
  • Listed Trees: century-old linden and tulip tree, among others.
  • And many other areas, which you will enjoy exploring on foot, by bike, or on horseback: forests, meadows, canals, rivers, etc.

Enjoying nature Activities

While in harmony with the magnificent park, the Château de la Groirie offers activities in the great outdoors, activities for young and old.

Swimming laps in the pool, basking in the sun, strolling through the 100 hectares, playing a game of pétanque, molky, ping-pong, or badminton can all be on the agenda for your days at our hotel surrounded by nature near Le Mans!

Lapierre mountain bikes are also available to our guests!

A tour of the interior of the château is possible upon request and subject to the owners' availability. You will discover an incredible 18th-century collection there.
